Pitbulls…..
These dogs were MADE to be what they are today.. WE bread them to be what they are today. People want to just wipe out the breed?? Why?- because man kinds own mistakes? It’s wrong to punish them for what we have done wrong.
A dog is born with an instinct and cannot be taught -different I agree. BUT it is possible to breed them out of that, to mellow that instinct. And it IS our own fault they have that in their mind set.
The other day, I google “Pitbulls” looking for some pics like the one i have posted and i saw this tool that people are using to drill into the dogs head and into the brain thinking it will alter the dogs “want” to cause harm.. This infuriated me- here is what I saw..

I cannot believe people are really doing that at home. It makes me wonder how many dogs die every year bcuz of that? Why isn’t that against the law? How is that not considered animal cruelty????
Dogs can sometimes overcome their instinct if raised right. People who take a pitbull home thinking “oh we can just play with it like any other dog” just because they think its cute- are wrong. Realistically, i pit should not be treated as a normal dog. With other dogs it is easy to rough house with them and not have it effect them much, but with a pitbull it is different. When you do that with ANY dog you are encouraging it to be a MEAN dog. It can also cause a dog to have less respect for the owner. With a pitbull the rough housing has a much larger effect on the dog and it personality. How a dog is raised and its backround depends on its personality and actions.
I’m so tired of hearing on the news that more fighting dogs are being found…and they have to be put down. It is so wrong to make one of Gods creations cause harm to each other and live JUST for someone to make some money or be entertained. You want to watch a fight and make bets, go watch wrestling. Some people might say whats the dif from wrestling and dog fighting? WE HAVE A CHOICE! They don’t. They can’t talk. They can’t tell us-no I don’t want to fight, I don’t WANT to get my skin ripped of by another dog! I don’t WANT to have to fight for my life!!
All in all- i absolutely agree with that picture/poem.
